Emma Beaven grew up in a reputedly haunted house on Solomons Island in Maryland. She has been an avid reader and writer of horror since she discovered Andersen’s fairy tales as a little girl. Her love of books followed her throughout her life, as she studied English literature at University of Maryland, College Park. And from there she has been on staff at the central Enoch Pratt Free Library in Baltimore for over 15 years, where she currently manages the Maryland Interlibrary Loan department and is surrounded by books all day.
Emma spends her time reading and writing as well as watching horror movies. On weekends, you can find her at various goth events in Baltimore.
